Under 65 Care
The Old Vicarage was selected from residential care homes throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire Council area to trial rehabilitation care for people discharged from hospital.
The project was recognised by the NHS Commissioning Manager as one which was “really successful” and which supported patients through their journeys out of hospital and the NHS in keeping the initiative running as smoothly as possible, with very positive feedback.
People aged under 65 may have family members who can care for them but this is not always the case, particularly if relatives have work commitments. By spending time with us people can rehabilitate in a safe and secure environment with nutritional and social needs taken care of and with access on site to a GP, physiotherapist and other primary healthcare services. After completing a rigorous application process we have been approved to provide this care. That status reflects the level of care we provide, our commitment and dedication, the quality of our services and the fact that we are committed to ongoing training and development.
