VE Day Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II

An open air Delicious BBQ and Fish and Chips were put on for the residents along with live music. All of the staff dressed up in 1940’s attire to add to the fun.

The theme ran all day with live singing from the staff along with “swing dancing” inspired by Jazz, tap and the Charleston. This was a perfect mood enhancer with memories of difficult times from years ago, which very much related to the world we are living in right now with the current struggles of the COVID 19 pandemic. At 3pm we lifted our glasses high and toasted with the rest of the nation for the 75th anniversary of the end of the second world war.
